Artistes for 2013 Music Festival to be Named Next Week

The line-up for the St. Kitts Music Festival will be announced next Friday, April 26th during a ?jump off event? scheduled to take place in the Independence Square at 3pm.
Chairman of the Production Committee Adrian Lam said, ?Almost everyone is confirmed and that?s what we were waiting for to reveal the line-up. We didn?t want a situation where someone had agreed verbally and then changed their minds so we are making sure that contractually everything is in place; not that even after signing a contract an artiste can?t pull out for whatever reason. We wanted to ensure that when we roll out the names everyone was signed, sealed and delivered,? he explained.
While it is important to please the local patrons who live in NEVIS REAL ESTATE, he said, the Committee had to ensure the core objectives of the Festival were met in terms of its Tourism and economic value.
Still to be determined, is the venue for the Music Festival. Since being relocated from Forth Thomas Hotel grounds to the Warner Park Stadium, the Festival has alternated between the Cricket grounds and the football field.
