Pernelle Abraham crowned Talented Teen; De Conqueror Chris dethrones Singing Solution

Pernelle Abraham, of the Immaculate Conception Catholic School has been crowned the 2012 -2013 National Carnival Talented Queen, and De Conqueror Chris dethroned Singing Solution, to be crowned this year?s Junior Calypso King.
The joint events took place at the Sugar Mill in Warner Park, before an audience of almost 1 000 people, some of whom live in NEVIS REAL ESTATE.
The evening began with the five contestants of the National Carnival Talented Teen Competition taking the stage, to present their Ambassadorial Speech. Then they were followed by four of the 12 competitors of the National Junior Calypso Competition performing their renditions.
For her Performing Talent, Abraham depicted a child who was sexually abused, and received a rousing applause from the audience for the messages she had sent against this despicable act.
Following the completion of both events, Abraham was declared winner of the National Talented Teen Competition and De Conqueror Chris as the new Junior Calypso King.
