The official 2011 Nevis Culturama Festival official activities began on Thursday July 21 and will end on August 2nd.

From 3.00 pm on Thursday to Friday morning activities dubbed CT invasion were planned, according to the Chairman of the Culturama official launch and Junior Kaiso show, Livingstone Liburd. He promised that the launch activities would be a major attraction, and he was good to his word.

A mini parade that started from Elquemedo Willet?s park and ended in Charlestown featured the Royal Defense Force. Another of the crowd favorites at the mini parade were the clowns.
After the official Nevis Culturama Festival launched, the Junior Calypso show competition took place.

The presence of the 14 contestants who are contesting the Miss Culture Queen, Miss Culture Swimwear and Mr Kool titles added glamor to the Nevis Culturama Festival official launch. The contestants sailed from Oualie Beach on Sea Monkeys. The royal cruise was sponsored by Oualie Beach and Scuba Safaris.

The bands booked to make the after party a memorable night include KC 5 who played at this year?s St. Kitts Music Festival, Kole band and the Eclectic.
