Youngest among the pack wins ZIZ 50th Anniversary Song Competition

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, saw Fourteen-Year-Old Dejour Alexander thrash 12 of his senior opponents and emerge triumphant in the ZIZ 50th Anniversary Song Competition which was held at Carnival Village.
Alexander notched up a fantastic 435 points with a dazzling performance of ?Your Eyes?, Which in turn led to a rapturous applause and cheers from a very enthusiastic audience.

Selena Powell and Ariel Peets of Tempest Records took a very well deserved First Runner-up position with 418 points, alongside Phiwebbe who equally deserved the second runner-up position with 405 points. The other contestants were ITYC and Marshall C, Minister LK, Hotta Lyrics, Carter, DJ Delone, Seymona Hutton, Michael Chambers and Dollaz.

The show featured an array of genres performed by the participants, which included R&B, Rap and Dancehall.
The winner walked away with a grand price of EC$3 000, an all-expense paid video shoot sponsored by IREPSKN and a surprise gift from the Music Festival.
This event showcases some of the youngest talent in St. Kitts and Nevis and is destined to be one of the biggest shows ever to be held in the federation, now and in the future shows to come.
