Benefits Planned for Valentine's Day Weekend

Next weekend, there will be 2 benefits on Nevis and one on St. Kitts. Enjoy Valentine's Day with your sweetheart and support the community too.
HISTORICAL SOCIETY BENEFIT SALE
The Nevis Historical and Conservation Society will present a Valentine?s Day Jumble Sale on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 9 a.m. ? 12 p.m. at the Alexander Hamilton Museum grounds in downtown Charlestown. Tickets are $2 and include an entry in the raffle. Many items will be nearly-new and will range from clothes to knick-knacks to kitchen utensils. Donations are still being accepted at the Nelson Museum at Bellevue, a labelled box at Superfoods, and at the Cafe Des Arts. All proceeds will go to support the
work of the NHCS.
BENEFIT VALENTINE?S BALL
A gala Valentine?s Ball will be held at the Nevis Botanical Gardens on Saturday,Feb. 14, from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. The event will feature music from ?Kasanova.? The cost is EC$135 or US$50 per person and will include a complimentary glass
of champagne and hors d?oevers. A raffle will also be held.
Proceeds will benefit the Lynn Jeffers School. For tickets, call 662-9259 or 662-98888
SUNDAY BEST VARIETY CHARITY
This event is presented by the St. Kitts Basseterre Lions Club. It?s a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family in a relaxed casual environment. See the best in Kittitian beauty and talent and savour the memories of National Carnival 2008-2009. Appearances by the Carnival Queens, Prince and Princesses Venue: The Anglican Church Hall/Girls School Victoria Road, Basseterre Date: Sunday Feb. 15, 4 pm to 7 pm $25 cover includes complimentary refreshments and a chance to win valuable prizes. Proceeds of this event will not only assist the ongoing community projects
but more specifically will be for the Beach Allen Primary School Library Project.
