Golf Pro-Am Competition Announced for St Kitts and Nevis

The Golf Connection is proud to announce the dates for the inaugural Admiral's Cup Pro-Am. The tournament which will be held January 5-9, 2011, will feature Pro-Am teams from the U.S., Canada, Caribbean and Europe competing for exciting prizes and a $10,000 purse for the professionals. Entries are now open at www.nevisproam.com. This 54-hole event will be the first of its kind hosted simultaneously by two islands.
Tournament players will compete on two of the Caribbean's most scenic and challenging courses, Royal St. Kitts Golf Club and Four Seasons Resort Nevis Golf Club. Royal St. Kitts offers golfers the unique ability to play holes on two different oceans. The third and fourth holes overlook the Caribbean Sea while holes 15, 16 and 17 directly border the Atlantic Ocean. Nevis Golf Club, the Robert Trent Jones II designed championship layout provides a memorable golf experience for players of all skill levels. The island of Nevis, known as the "Queen of the Caribbean," provides a dramatic setting for golfers who will be challenged by this lush, mountain side course.
All players and guests will enjoy the hospitality and world renowned service of The St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino, the event's host in 2011. Strategically located in the Frigate Bay area, the resort is situated on the beach in the island's primary resort area, facing the Atlantic Ocean. The narrowest part of the island, a short 10-minute walk to the West will have guests putting their feet in the calmer water of the Caribbean Sea. The resort features 339 spacious luxury guest rooms, boasts eight restaurants, three lounges, three pools, exceptional recreational facilities, a Kids Club, two fitness centers, the Emerald Mist Spa, and the 35,000 square-foot Royal Beach Casino.
